Tartelette Tatin of the Full Moon
¥800
Meltingly tender apples, fragrant caramel and a whisper of cinnamon glimmer like moonlight.
A perfectly round apple tart with a gentle sweetness.
Dark and light, bitter and sweet. New moon or full moon? Which suits your mood today?
Éclipse Rouge
03 / The Crimson Moon Sweet
Éclipse Rouge
Éclipse Rouge
¥850
For a brief moment, the full moon rising in the night sky slips into Earth's shadow. Its pale light turns a fiery red in a total lunar eclipse. We have captured that fleeting moment on a plate.
Vivid crimson raspberries cover the tart. Their bright acidity and juicy freshness meet the sweetness of vanilla ice cream, creating layers of flavor.
Enjoy a little lunar eclipse on your table, without looking up at the night sky.
CASTLE TOWN DELICACIES
Castle Town Sweets
Two sweet treats inspired by Taketa's history.
Basque Cheesecake

Basque Cheesecake
Basque Cheesecake
¥750Weekends Only
Born in Spain's Basque Country, baked here in Taketa.
Deeply golden on the outside, softly creamy within. Made to bring out the richness of carefully selected cheese and fresh cream.
San Sebastián, the home of Basque cheesecake, lies along a pilgrimage route to the sacred city of Santiago de Compostela.
The name of the saint at the end of that route also survives in Taketa. The Santiago Bell, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, was once carefully kept at Oka Castle. How the bell came to these mountains of Kyushu remains a mystery.
A distant pilgrimage route and this Japanese castle town: enjoy your cheesecake as you ponder the mystery of their intertwined histories.
